Reflexology of the Feet, Hands, and Ears is an ancient technique adopted from
the eastern Indian culture by the Chinese over 2,000 years ago.
This very effective technique involves points located on the bottom of the
feet, the palms of the hands and the ventral side of the ears. These points
individually relate to an organ, system, or muscle group of the body and can
be stimulated with oil or on dry skin.
By using straight pressure or stimulation on a point, a signal
is sent to the related organ or body part to indirectly effect
the area, thus causing a relaxation of the area or stimulation
for health, depending on the individuals condition.
For example if you have a stiff neck, the neck of the big toe can have straight
pressure applied to indirectly release tension of your neck muscles. If sciatic
pain is present a point on the top inside of the ear can be stimulated to release
such a condition. For sinus congestion, stimulating the tips of the fingers
on the hand can clear up this condition.

This technique is beneficial to everyone and is used most often when an area
cannot be directly worked on especially those of the internal body. It is a
simple yet powerful technique that can be applied by a trained reflexologist
or can be easily learned by anyone for self massage from books now available.
